Administrative Officer – Temporary (6 months) – Bunia

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Administrative Officer to support its Ebola response in Bunia, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role is a six‑month temporary appointment that provides essential day‑to‑day administrative services to ensure the smooth operation of the emergency programme.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain office space, equipment, communications, utilities and accommodation for staff and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF administrative rules, internal controls and emergency‑specific procedures.
• Coordinate onboarding, movement, rotation, travel, accommodation and logistical follow‑up for personnel, consultants, surge staff and visitors.
• Process administrative requests related to Ebola response activities, including infection prevention, WASH, health and community engagement.
• Provide logistical support for procurement, transport and distribution of essential supplies.

Required profile

• Experience in administrative support within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work under pressure in a complex, insecure environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination abilities with diverse stakeholders.
