Analyst – Financial Management Lubumbashi Cluster

About the role

The Analyst – Financial Management Lubumbashi Cluster will provide financial oversight, budgeting, reporting and asset management for all projects operating in the Lubumbashi cluster of a large humanitarian organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor burn rates across all cluster projects, identify trends of under‑ or over‑expenditure and escalate risks.
• Produce detailed financial reports for each project and consolidate them into cluster‑level summaries for internal and donor use.
• Prepare and present Field Financial Reports (FFRs) at the cluster level.
• Conduct variance analysis, investigate deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead budget preparation for all cluster projects, consolidate inputs and ensure alignment with strategic and donor priorities.
• Upload approved budgets into Horizon and IMPAQ systems, validate data accuracy and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Upload invoices into Provision for the Shared Service Centre, ensuring completeness, accuracy and proper coding.
• Support mobile‑money disbursements to stakeholders and beneficiaries, ensuring proper authorization, documentation and reconciliation.
• Update the asset register, perform asset verification and monitor direct cash deposits in collaboration with the Shared Service Centre.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor financial implementation, build capacity and resolve operational challenges.
• Process beneficiary and stakeholder payments through approved mobile‑money platforms.
• Review purchase requisitions for budget availability and compliance with procurement policies.
• Implement cost allocation methodologies for shared services and maintain the cluster asset register.
