Area Manager – Kinshasa (DRC)

About the role

The Area Manager will be based in Kinshasa and will oversee the implementation of Humanity & Inclusion programmes across the capital and, on an occasional basis, in other provinces. The role starts in September 2026 and is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme activities with local partners and institutional stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance, budgets and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with humanitarian standards and organisational policies.
• Facilitate regular field visits and provide technical support to programme teams.
• Represent the organisation in meetings with government agencies, NGOs and community groups.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, public health, international development or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing humanitarian or development programmes.
• Strong knowledge of the DRC context, especially health and disability inclusion.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in French and English.
• Ability to travel frequently within the country.
