Assistant(e) Finance – IRC Butembo

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Finance Assistant to support cash management and payment processes at its Butembo office. Working under the supervision of the Senior Finance Officer, you will help ensure that all financial transactions are performed accurately, safely, and in line with IRC policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments and receipts according to IRC cash‑management procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Monitor and reconcile cash balances on a daily basis.
• Ensure timely execution of payments to vendors, partners, and staff.
• Assist with ad‑hoc financial tasks as directed by the Senior Finance Officer.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and trustworthy, with a strong sense of integrity.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced humanitarian environment.
• Good communication skills in French (and preferably English).
• Willingness to follow IRC policies and procedures closely.
