Bilingual Aftermarket Manager – Heavy Equipment (DRC)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Aftermarket Manager to lead the local after‑sales department for a well‑established international firm operating in Africa. The role is based in the Democratic Republic of Congo and focuses on heavy‑equipment and construction sectors, ensuring profitable and customer‑focused service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence by developing standards for infrastructure, processes, tooling and performance management.
• Ensure efficient, profitable and customer‑focused service delivery across workshops, CRCs, mining sites and field operations.
• Define and enhance state‑of‑the‑art workshop guidelines and coordinate their implementation.
• Standardise and implement service operational KPIs to meet company objectives.
• Lead tooling management, standardisation and calibration initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in aftermarket management within construction or heavy‑equipment dealership, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of African markets and fluency in both French and English.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of parts, services and customer needs, especially with Komatsu equipment.
• Experience in inventory management, supply‑chain operations and sales strategies.

Required skills

• Technical expertise with Komatsu heavy‑equipment aftermarket.

• ERP systems experience, preferably SAP.
