Buyer – Purchasing Specialist

About the role

The Buyer will manage purchasing activities for an assigned area, ensuring that goods and services are obtained at the best value while maintaining strong supplier relationships. This role involves negotiating contracts, performing price and vendor analyses, and supporting internal requesters with procurement guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute purchase requests, conducting price and vendor analysis to secure cost‑effective solutions.
• Negotiate and document contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate order placement and follow‑up to guarantee timely and accurate delivery.
• Provide support to requestors by explaining procurement policies, resolving routine issues, and offering product information.
• Source required goods and services throughout the procurement cycle under supervisor guidance.
• Participate in limited‑complexity special projects as assigned.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Developing professional with a solid understanding of purchasing principles.
• Ability to perform basic price and vendor analyses.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
