Supply Associate (6-month TA)

About the role

The Supply Associate will support UNICEF’s emergency WASH/IPC response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working under the Supply Officer, the role manages end‑to‑end procurement, contracting and supply financing in a highly complex humanitarian environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement and contracting processes for emergency supplies.
• Manage procurement services and supply financing where applicable.
• Support localisation and emergency preparedness activities.
• Collect, analyse and report information and data related to supply operations.

Required profile

• Secondary education plus at least six years of relevant logistics, warehousing or supply‑chain experience (a bachelor’s degree can replace three years, a master’s degree an additional two).
• Proven ability to apply UNICEF or comparable logistics and supply rules to complex cases.
• Experience using an ERP system (VISION/SAP) and MS Office tools.
• Background in humanitarian, public‑health or emergency response, preferably Ebola or similar outbreaks.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of another UN language is a plus.

Required skills

• ERP systems (VISION/SAP supply and logistics modules).
• Microsoft Office suite.
• CIPS certification or equivalent procurement qualification.
