About the role
The Channel Development Super Vendors & Retail Manager drives strategic planning and execution to acquire new customers through semi‑indirect (Super Vendor) and retail channels. Working closely with marketing, product, field, and external partners, the role ensures campaigns are aligned with Vodacom/Vodafone policies and local regulations while delivering scalable growth.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement acquisition strategies across retail and semi‑indirect channels, setting gross‑adds targets by cluster, region and sub‑region.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design offers, bundles and growth plans for Super Vendors.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding and training of semi‑indirect partners, establishing performance metrics and conducting regular reviews.
- Track campaign performance, adjust tactics, manage commission payments and claim regularisation.
- Coordinate with device and SIM distributors to ensure continuous SIM availability and monitor KYC quality.
- Analyse acquisition data, prepare weekly and monthly performance reports and use insights to refine strategies.
- Launch trade promotions, loyalty programmes and seasonal campaigns to boost sell‑in and sell‑out.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, preventing fraud and maintaining data quality.
Required profile
- Proven experience in customer acquisition and channel management, preferably in telecom.
- Data‑driven mindset with ability to translate analysis into actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, KYC processes and SIM registration.
- Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
