SHEQ Manager

About the role

The SHEQ Manager will report to senior operational leadership and ensure that all company operations are carried out safely, healthily, environmentally responsibly, and with a focus on quality. This position is central to embedding a strong SHEQ culture across all sites and offices of a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead SHEQ policies, management systems, and governance frameworks in line with group standards and local regulations.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve SHEQ strategies, processes, and performance objectives across operations and sites.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation and operational standards.
• Lead risk‑management activities, including risk assessments, hazard identification, mitigation planning, and management of change.
• Conduct and oversee SHEQ inspections, audits, and reviews, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Manage incident, accident, and near‑miss reporting, perform root‑cause analysis, and report to senior management.
• Monitor and report SHEQ performance through KPIs, dashboards, and management reports.
• Deliver SHEQ training, awareness programmes, and culture‑building initiatives for employees and contractors.
• Ensure supplier and contractor SHEQ compliance through audits and improvement plans.
• Support achievement and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Technical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Health & Safety, or Business/Administrative Sciences.
• 5–10 years of experience in a management role, with at least 5 years in a SHEQ/HSE leadership position.
• Experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, power generation, or industrial environments.
• Fluency in English and French.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
