Child Protection & MHPSS Manager (P-4, 6-month contract)

About the role

The Child Protection/MHPSS Manager will lead the strategic, technical and operational coordination of child protection and mental health and psychosocial support interventions within UNICEF’s Ebola emergency response in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic and operational coordination of child protection and MHPSS activities.
• Technical and programmatic supervision of partners and response teams.
• Design and implementation of psychosocial response (MHPSS) interventions.
• Capacity building for staff and partners on child protection and MHPSS.
• Monitoring, analysis and reporting of programme performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, sociology, psychology, public health, international development or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in child protection and/or mental health and psychosocial support in humanitarian settings.
