Construction Manager – Senior Management

About the role

Mutanda Mining is seeking a senior Construction Manager to lead all construction activities for its Sulfide Project. Reporting to the General Manager – Projects, the incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering construction works while ensuring safety, environmental, quality, budget and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and monitoring of all construction works for the Sulfide Project.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with HSEC standards, local regulations and Glencore/MUMI procedures.
• Control project budgets, schedules and cost performance using project control tools.
• Oversee contract administration, change management and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Construction Manager on mining, heavy‑industrial or large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience delivering EPCM/EPC projects and managing large multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Familiarity with DRC construction legislation and regulatory requirements is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of construction management methodologies and project controls.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
