Coordinator, MHPSS Emergency Response Team

About the role

The MHPSS Emergency Response Team Coordinator provides technical and administrative support to mental health and psychosocial programs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role ensures that assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of MHPSS activities meet donor requirements and International Medical Corps standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to program staff on planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of MHPSS activities across multiple sites.
• Conduct routine project needs assessments and program reviews to ensure successful implementation and compliance with donor and IMC MHPSS quality standards.
• Manage the MHPSS program team, ensuring adequate coverage during absences, addressing training needs and evaluating performance.
• Support the preparation of reports, data collection tools and documentation required for donor reporting and internal monitoring.
• Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to align program activities with humanitarian response objectives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in mental health and psychosocial support programs in humanitarian settings.
• Proven ability to conduct assessments, develop work plans and monitor program performance.
• Experience managing a multidisciplinary team, including supervision, training and performance evaluation.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance and quality standards for MHPSS interventions.
