Core Drill Operator

About the role

The Core Drill Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining diamond drilling equipment to meet project specifications and production targets in remote mining sites.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Kores KDR1000 Diamond Drill (DD) equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out drilling operations according to project specifications and production targets.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Identify and report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate drilling records and daily operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site regulations.
• Coordinate effectively with supervisors, geologists, and support teams to ensure smooth drilling operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in core drilling operations.
• Physically fit and able to work in remote mining locations.
• Age between 30 and 43 years.

Required skills

• Kores KDR1000 Diamond Drill operation.
• Experience with Boart Longyear, Sandvik, Epiroc or PRD drilling rigs.
• Strong understanding of drilling procedures.
• Equipment maintenance expertise.
• Workplace safety knowledge.
