Country Director – Global Health Supply Chain (DRC)

About the role

Chemonics is seeking a Country Director to lead the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Technical Assistance Francophone Task Order in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role oversees technical assistance to strengthen health supply systems across Benin, DRC, and Senegal, and supports the USAID West Africa Regional Mission.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise management‑level staff and Francophone task order personnel in the DRC.
• Develop and implement annual work plans and budgets aligned with USAID priorities and the DRC Ministry of Health.
• Maintain strong relationships with USAID, local governments, partners, and donors.
• Oversee reporting, performance reviews, and evidence‑based interventions.
• Coordinate capacity‑building activities for national health systems.
• Ensure timely submission of all deliverables and compliance with standard operating and financial procedures.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in health, management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in public health program management, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, or supply chain management systems.
• Proven ability to manage complex USAID‑funded projects in developing‑country contexts.
• Experience leading high‑performing teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
