Country Manager

About the role

This senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing all country‑wide operations for a dynamic mining environment in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role combines logistics, clearing, finance and workshop management to drive efficiency and support business growth in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics, clearing and operational activities across the country.
• Own financial performance, including reporting, forecasting and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and internal financial procedures.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in finance, operations and workshop functions.
• Monitor and improve business performance through financial analysis and reporting.
• Identify risks and implement strategies to minimise exposure and improve efficiency.
• Oversee fleet and equipment maintenance to ensure high availability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise cost and performance.
• Support and develop new business opportunities and growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics, mining or related industries.
• Proven experience working in remote or site‑based environments, preferably in the DRC or similar regions.
• Strong financial management and analytical skills.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Sage is advantageous.
