Depot Manager – Blackheath

About the role

The Depot Manager will lead all aspects of cylinder and stock management at our Blackheath facility, ensuring product availability, safety, and compliance. You will coordinate logistics, oversee HSE practices, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cylinder and stock management to guarantee accuracy and availability.
• Drive efficient operations to meet and exceed customer demand.
• Manage HSE compliance, conduct inspections, and submit timely HSEQ reports.
• Implement and maintain the ONE MAESTRO and Maestro Log systems.
• Conduct integrity checks, manage downgrade mode requirements, and ensure safety‑critical barriers are in place.
• Coordinate daily logistics and production for cost‑effective transport.
• Maintain depot administration, perform daily stock reconciliations, and investigate variances.
• Prepare and submit monthly results, KPI reports, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with OHS Act, HAZCHEM, SABS regulations, and liquid licence requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in LPG depot operations with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and stock management.
• Familiarity with OHS Act, HAZCHEM, and relevant SABS regulations.
• Excellent working knowledge of SAP.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality reports and lead teams.
