Deputy Chief of Party

About the role

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is launching a five‑year USAID/BHA‑funded Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA) called Tudienzele in Kasai, DRC. Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Deputy Chief of Party will provide technical oversight to a multidisciplinary team and ensure integrated delivery of income‑generation, nutrition, WASH, behavior change, gender, youth, social inclusion, governance and environmental components.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of Purpose 1, Purpose 2, SBC, GYSI, Capacity Building & Governance, and Environmental Compliance leads.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust annual work plans, quarterly reports and other donor deliverables.
• Maintain relationships with host‑government officials, donors, partner NGOs and local stakeholders.
• Oversee cooperative agreements, commodity management and compliance with USAID requirements.
• Provide mentorship, performance management and capacity‑building for staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in economics, business administration, public administration, agriculture, international development or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible management experience on USAID‑funded food‑security or development programs.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop and lead diverse teams in an international non‑profit setting.
• Demonstrated experience building partnerships with governments, donors and local organizations.
