Development Advisor – Central Africa HR Hub

About the role

The Development Advisor supports the professional growth of mobile staff across the Central Africa region (Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo Brazzaville). Working from the MSF Belgium HR hub in Kinshasa, you will act as the main point of contact for staff development, providing coaching, career planning and facilitating access to learning opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Guide staff in reflecting on long‑term ambitions, strengths and development needs.
• Co‑create personalized development plans and ensure enrollment in training, coaching or detachment programmes.
• Maintain regular contact with staff before, during and after assignments to support their career trajectory.
• Collaborate with the recruitment team to align talent acquisition with development pathways.
• Contribute to organisational needs by identifying skill gaps and proposing development solutions.

Required profile

• Experience in learning & development, human resources or project coordination within an international or humanitarian context.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse staff.
• Capacity to work autonomously and manage multiple development initiatives.
