Director of Product – Consumer Products & Retail Accounting

About the role

VectorOne is seeking a Director of Product to lead the creation of an AI‑driven accounting platform for the consumer products and retail sector. The role combines deep accounting expertise with product leadership to shape the next generation of autonomous finance tools.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accounting subject‑matter expert guiding design, development, and validation of the platform.
• Partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate accounting processes into AI‑driven features and workflows.
• Define business requirements, compliance considerations, and industry‑specific nuances.
• Review and validate product outputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness.
• Influence product roadmap and strategy based on market and regulatory insights.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience as a product leader or principal accounting expert in consumer products or retail.
• Deep knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and industry regulations.
• Ability to bridge finance concepts with technical teams to build AI‑enabled solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional technology teams.
• Track record of delivering complex finance or accounting products.
