Director - Strategic Projects and Infrastructure

About the role

Africa Global Logistics DRC, present in the DRC for more than 70 years with offices in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Goma and Matadi and a presence at Luano International Airport, is hiring a Director - Strategic Projects and Infrastructure in Kinshasa. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role leads the origination, structuring and execution of the group's key strategic projects in the DRC, covering port and airport concessions, multimodal transport, logistics platforms and industrial infrastructure for mining, telecom and FMCG. It is a permanent, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and prioritise infrastructure and logistics opportunities, and position the company on high-value projects such as ports, river transport, airports, dry ports and logistics hubs
• Structure concessions and PPP frameworks, including commercial models and risk allocation, and coordinate feasibility studies across technical, financial, legal and environmental dimensions
• Develop business cases and investment strategies, build and stress-test financial models (capex, opex, traffic, IRR, NPV) and support financing approaches with DFIs, banks and other stakeholders
• Drive projects from concept to implementation, coordinate cross-functional teams and set governance, milestones and performance tracking
• Engage ministries, regulators and state-owned entities, manage partner relationships and represent the company in high-level negotiations
• Maintain a project pipeline with go/no-go decisions, allocate resources and report regularly to the Managing Director and Group leadership

Required profile

• At least 10+ years in infrastructure, logistics or project development
• Proven track record in concessions/PPP structuring, infrastructure project development or project finance
• Strong preference for African or emerging market experience
• Exposure to port, rail, airport or logistics platform development
• Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects across geographies

Required skills

• Strong command of PPP and concession frameworks
• Solid financial and commercial acumen: business cases, investment analysis and financial modelling
• Technical fluency to work with engineering and operations teams
• Leadership, autonomy, negotiation and results orientation
