Electrical Engineering Superintendent II

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Superintendent to lead all underground engineering operations at the Kamoa Copper Mine. The role oversees water, power and mechanical systems, ensuring reliable mining operations and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the operating plan and maintain systems for continuous mining production.
• Manage water, power, pumping and mechanical equipment across the underground site.
• Supervise contractors, service providers and direct reports, monitoring performance and costs.
• Drive problem‑solving, continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Act as the engineering subject‑matter expert and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards.
• Coordinate stakeholder relationships across functional teams.

Required profile

• Relevant Diploma (N4‑N5 equivalent) or qualified artisan.
• At least 5 years experience as a foreman in mechanical‑electrical engineering, pumping and conveyor systems.
• Proven experience in a mining environment.
• Fluent business English; French or Swahili advantageous.

• Ability to perform technical calculations and interpret specifications.
