Electrical Foreman – Underground Mining

About the role

The Kamoa Copper Mine is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to plan, develop and execute all underground electrical installations and operations at the Kakula mine. You will lead a team of specialists, ensure reliable power and pumping systems, and support business continuity in a high‑risk mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure continuous supply of power and pumping systems for mining operations.
• Maintain and optimise electrical infrastructure to meet business continuity requirements.
• Manage and oversee contractors and service providers.
• Drive problem‑solving initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Act as the electrical subject‑matter expert for project and operational teams.
• Build stakeholder relationships across functional lines.
• Coordinate, monitor and supervise direct reports.
• Monitor costs against approved budgets and support transformation agendas.
• Integrate HSEQ standards into all work processes.

Required profile

• Trade‑tested Certificate as an Electrician.
• N3 Certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Medium‑voltage training course certificate.
• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience as a qualified electrician in a mining environment.
• At least 5 years supervisory experience.
• Foreman certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency in business English; French and Swahili are highly advantageous.
