Emergency Access Specialist (P-3) – 6‑Month Temporary Assignment

About the role

Under the direction and guidance of the Chief of Emergency, you will coordinate the country office’s data collection, reporting and response activities related to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role focuses on ensuring timely, evidence‑based decision‑making and effective coordination of emergency interventions for vulnerable children and communities.

Key responsibilities

  • Humanitarian access and negotiation with authorities and communities.
  • Community engagement and acceptance to promote health‑seeking behaviours.
  • Access monitoring and information management, including data collection and reporting.
  • Coordination and operational support for multi‑sectoral response activities.
  • Capacity strengthening and knowledge management for partners and staff.
  • Development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of emergency interventions.

Required profile

  • Advanced university degree (as indicated in the minimum education requirement).
