About the role

Nifty Contractor is seeking a skilled Drywall Contractor to join our fast‑paced home renovation team. You will work on a variety of residential projects, ensuring high‑quality drywall installation and a flawless finish that meets our clients' expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan drywall layouts.
• Measure, cut, fit, and securely attach drywall sheets according to project specifications.
• Finish surfaces by filling holes, cracks, and imperfections to achieve a smooth appearance.
• Estimate labour and material costs and provide accurate quotes when required.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and supervise junior staff as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma and completion of a trade‑school apprenticeship or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
• Several years of hands‑on drywall experience in residential construction.
• Reliable driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and professional reliability.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation.
• Drywall installation techniques (measuring, cutting, fitting, securing).
• Surface finishing skills (taping, mudding, sanding).
• Material and labour cost estimation.
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
