Finance & Operations Advisor (Tshopo – Tshikapa)

About the role

The Finance & Operations Advisor will support the Finance and Operations Manager in delivering accurate budgeting, financial reporting, donor compliance, and operational oversight for Ipas DRC. Based in Tshikapa, the role works closely with program units to ensure sound financial practices and effective resource management.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate compliance with Ipas financial SOPs, local tax regulations, and donor requirements.
• Process financial transactions, record expenditures, and maintain up‑to‑date entries in the financial system.
• Prepare and submit balance‑sheet reconciliations, donor reports, and audit documentation.
• Coordinate internal, external, and statutory audits and implement corrective action plans.
• Support budget preparation in partnership with operations, technical, and program teams.
• Review and approve expense reports and process payroll for staff, consultants, and interns.
• Manage and safeguard Ipas DRC assets and properties.
• Train staff on financial systems, new regulations, and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights, especially abortion and contraception access.
• Professional fluency in French and English (spoken, written, reading).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to steward funds responsibly and ensure compliance.
