Finance & Operations Advisor – Tshopo/Tshikapa

About the role

The Finance & Operations Advisor will support the Finance and Operations Manager in delivering accurate budgeting, financial reporting, donor compliance, and operational oversight for Ipas DRC. The role works closely with program units to ensure sound accounting practices and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate compliance with Ipas financial SOPs, local tax requirements, and donor stipulations.
• Process financial transactions, record expenditures, and maintain up‑to‑date entries in the financial system.
• Prepare and submit balance‑sheet reconciliations, donor reports, and audit documentation.
• Coordinate internal, external, and statutory audits and implement corrective action plans.
• Assist in budget preparation, expense review, and payroll processing for staff, consultants, and interns.
• Manage and safeguard Ipas DRC assets and properties.
• Train staff on financial systems, new regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Provide technical support to partner organizations on financial reporting compliance.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
• Professional fluency in French and English (spoken, written, reading).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in management, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven ability to steward funds responsibly, with experience in budgeting and financial planning.
