Financial Analyst, External Reporting

About the role

AGI is seeking a Financial Analyst to support monthly, quarterly, and annual external financial reporting. The analyst will work on complex IFRS matters and help ensure accurate financial statement disclosures for a global food‑based infrastructure company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage consolidated reporting of long‑lived assets, including capital and intangible assets.
• Maintain capital asset software data and prepare related disclosures.
• Execute month‑end close activities such as journal entries and consolidated reports.
• Assist with quarterly and annual external reporting, including drafting public financial statements and the annual report.
• Research accounting policies and IFRS standards, producing position papers.
• Monitor changes to accounting standards and assess impacts on financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual testing, providing documentation and support.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, analysis, and management reporting initiatives.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in accounting or equivalent.
• CPA designation or working towards it.
• 1‑3 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience with accounting systems and processes.
