Funding & Reporting Manager

About the role

The Funding & Reporting Manager links African Parks Congo’s strategic objectives with operational delivery and the donor community. Based at Garamba National Park, the role ensures compliant implementation of the francophone grant portfolio, high‑quality donor reporting, and accurate identification of funding needs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the francophone grant portfolio (EU, Okapi Fund, etc.), tracking progress, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance to allocate donor funds correctly, monitor burn rates and uphold contractual provisions.
• Maintain regular communication with donors, prepare incident reports, and represent the park in steering committees and review meetings.
• Provide updates on grant implementation, risks and opportunities during APN fundraising calls.
• Supervise Monitoring & Evaluation activities to align data collection and reporting with donor requirements.
• Support General Park Management in reporting to the Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature (ICCN).

Required profile

• Proven experience managing international grant portfolios, preferably in francophone contexts.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, reporting standards and financial monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
