General Manager – Grain Milling

About the role

The General Manager will lead the grain‑milling operation of a large international agricultural trading company in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the VP of Central Africa, you will be responsible for the full profit‑and‑loss of the plant and for delivering high‑quality product on time.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall control of business operations, strategy and P&L accountability.
• Ensure efficient execution from production through delivery while maintaining strict standards for product quality and customer service.
• Oversee procurement, logistics and compliance processes to meet corporate governance standards.
• Communicate clearly with the wider group and embed the group’s ethos of social responsibility and continuous improvement across the workforce.
• Maintain regular travel to operational sites while based in Kinshasa.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience with full P&L responsibility in an industrial environment.
• Strong background in manufacturing or milling, preferably grain processing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in emerging or frontier markets.
• Track record of team development, process improvement and commercial delivery.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English.
