Underwater Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Underwater Project Manager to support the Marine Manager in planning, coordinating and executing offshore diving, ROV, subsea intervention and marine integrity projects. The role ensures safe, efficient and cost‑effective delivery while complying with company, regulatory and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise diving, ROV and subsea inspection campaigns from preparation through close‑out.
• Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, procedures, work packs, method statements and risk assessments.
• Coordinate offshore logistics, vessel support, equipment mobilisation and campaign readiness.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with technical, contractual, HSE and operational requirements.
• Participate in offshore mobilisations, inspections, intervention campaigns and critical marine operations.
• Review inspection findings, operational reports and engineering assessments, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage underwater and marine integrity projects within approved budgets, schedules and performance objectives.
• Prepare technical scopes, tender packages, cost estimates, project schedules and execution strategies.
• Support technical bid evaluations, contractor selection and contract management.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, actions, KPIs and budget performance.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc or Engineering degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore oil & gas, marine operations, underwater inspection or marine asset integrity.
• Proven experience managing projects involving diving operations, ROV campaigns, subsea inspections, repairs or marine construction.
• Experience in West Africa offshore operations is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder and contractor management abilities.
