Grants and Communications Manager – Goma, DRC

About the role

Concern Worldwide is seeking a Grants and Communications Manager for a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment based in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Programme Quality and Development Coordinator, you will supervise the Communication and Advocacy Officer and work closely with programme managers, donors and senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee grant management processes across all DRC programmes, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
• Organise and facilitate grant‑management meetings (kick‑off, interim, close‑out) and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support programme review meetings and monitor implementation against grant conditions.
• Build capacity of programme teams in proposal writing, reporting and donor communication.
• Develop and manage visibility, communications and external advocacy initiatives in partnership with the Communications & Advocacy Officer.
• Ensure strategic alignment of proposals and programmes with the Country Strategic Plan and cross‑cutting issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant management and donor compliance within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong background in communications, advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to supervise staff and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 30% of the time) to programme areas.
