Grants Financial Manager – DR Congo

About the role

The Grants Financial Manager will support senior management in the Democratic Republic of Congo by providing financial analysis, budgeting and spend forecasting for grant‑funded programmes. Working closely with the Global Support Office Finance Partner, the Field Finance Manager and country leadership, the role ensures compliance with donor contracts and accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain systems and procedures to ensure donor‑contract compliance, including eligibility checks and cost‑coverage calculations.
• Monitor monthly grant spending, identify variances and coordinate corrective actions with programme managers.
• Prepare and review financial reports, maintain an overview of all active grants and allocate costs accurately.
• Support country leadership with financial analyses for staffing, equipment, fleet and other resource decisions.
• Assist teams in budgeting, spend forecasting and cash‑need projections, ensuring timely updates to senior management.
• Collaborate with the Finance Partner to keep cost‑coverage data current and available for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Financial diploma or certificate in business administration, accounting or related field.
• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in NGO relief finance or grant management.
• Proficiency in written and spoken French.
• Overseas experience in humanitarian or relief settings.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and reporting.
