Head of Programs – Goma

About the role

The Head of Programs in Goma will lead the implementation of humanitarian programmes across multiple operational sites. Reporting to the immediate supervisor, the role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme teams at both sites and supervise national and international staff.
• Ensure proper implementation of programmes, monitoring progress and adapting activities as needed.
• Represent the organisation on programme‑related issues with partners, authorities and local actors.
• Centralise and disseminate information, consolidating internal and external reporting for submission to the supervisor.
• Participate in strategy development and propose new interventions based on field‑identified needs.
• Monitor the rollout of new projects launched in early 2023 and ensure synergy with technical departments (medical, nutrition, protection, MEAL, etc.).
• Support the restructuring of the MEAL department and adapt programmes to the evolving humanitarian context in North Kivu.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in project management, international development or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing humanitarian or development programmes, preferably in the DRC or similar contexts.
• Strong supervisory and coordination skills, with the ability to work with diverse national and expatriate teams.
