Head of Systems & Operations – DRC

About the role

The Head of Systems & Operations will be a core member of the Country Management Team, ensuring the DRC programme is delivered effectively, efficiently and accountably. Based in Bukavu, the role provides strategic leadership across procurement, logistics, finance, human resources and administration, creating an enabling environment for programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic leadership of the Country Management Team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the DRC programme.
• Quality and risk management across all support functions.
• Management of human resources, including capacity development and staff performance.
• Finance management, budgeting, reporting and donor compliance.
• Logistics and procurement management, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external donor requirements.
• Leading the development and continuous improvement of systems and operational processes.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English and working level French.
• Significant experience managing systems, particularly logistics, in an international or humanitarian context.
• Background in finance, operations or a combination of both.
• Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to coordinate across diverse cultural groups and work independently.
• Strong analytical mindset with a systematic approach to problem‑solving.
• Responsibility, ownership and a proactive attitude toward complex compliance agendas.
