Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (P2) – Kinshasa

About the role

The Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will support UNICEF’s Health Section in Kinshasa by implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on health programmes, especially maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (MNCAH) and Community Health Systems interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Health Manager in timely data collection, quality control and result‑based management for MNCAH and Community Health System programmes.
• Generate actionable performance insights through data analysis, monitoring tools and evaluation reporting.
• Identify gaps, lessons learned and recommend corrective actions to improve programme effectiveness.
• Monitor field offices’ health interventions and ensure alignment with national priorities.
• Collaborate with Nutrition, WASH and SBC sectors to strengthen cross‑sectoral health interventions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Science, Statistics, Data Science, Project Management, International Relations, Community Development or related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management or public health programmes.
• Demonstrated expertise in data collection, analysis and reporting for health projects.
