Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (P2) – Temporary Appointment

About the role
The Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will support UNICEF's Health Section in Kinshasa by ensuring robust data collection, analysis, and reporting for maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (MNCAH) and Community Health System interventions. Working under the Health Manager, you will help translate data into actionable insights that improve programme performance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Health Manager in timely data collection, quality control, and validation for health programmes.
- Develop and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards for MNCAH and community health interventions.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare evaluation reports to inform decision‑making.
- Identify gaps, lessons learned, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support cross‑sectoral collaboration with Nutrition, WASH, and SBC teams to align health activities with national priorities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, International Development or a related field.
- Minimum two years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, or data analysis within health programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and produce high‑quality reports.
Required skills
- Data analysis and interpretation.
- Monitoring and evaluation methodology.
- Report writing and presentation of findings.
