Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (P2) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Health Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to support the Health Section in Kinshasa. The role focuses on improving programme performance for maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (MNCAH) and Community Health Systems through data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Health Manager in timely data collection, quality control and reporting for health programmes, especially MNCAH and community health interventions.
• Support result‑based management processes and generate performance insights through data analysis and monitoring tools.
• Monitor field office activities related to health interventions and contribute to evaluation reporting.
• Identify gaps, lessons learned and corrective actions to inform planning and improve programme effectiveness.
• Facilitate cross‑sectoral collaboration with Nutrition, WASH and SBC teams to align health interventions with national priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Public Health, Social Science, Statistics, Data Science, Project Management, International Relations, Community Development or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, data analysis or health programme management.
