HSE Supervisor for Mining/Construction Project near Kolwezi

About the role

DRA Global is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to support a mining and construction project near Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role involves collaborating with construction teams, contractors, and project management to ensure safe execution of all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of the project HSE Management System and monitor compliance with procedures, risk assessments, and safe work requirements.
• Conduct workplace inspections, observations, and critical control verifications, and coach frontline supervision in effective HSE management.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviours, ensure corrective actions, and participate in incident investigations.
• Monitor contractor HSE performance, escalate significant concerns, and support HSE reporting, statistics, and project assurance activities.
• Promote visible leadership, employee engagement, and a strong safety culture on‑site.

Required profile

• DRC citizenship is mandatory.
• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in mining, construction, engineering, or EPCM environments.
• Previous experience on construction or mining projects in the DRC is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of DRC occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Fluency in English and French, with ability to communicate in Swahili.
• Willingness to work on‑site near Kolwezi following the project rotation schedule.
