Hub Coordinator – Ebola Response (P-4, 6-month contract)

About the role

The Hub Coordinator will provide strategic leadership, programme management and technical coordination for UNICEF’s operations in the Butembo hub, supporting Ebola preparedness and response efforts across the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the UNICEF field office in Butembo, ensuring effective operational oversight.
• Coordinate Ebola preparedness and response activities, working closely with national authorities and partners.
• Integrate and manage UNICEF programmes within the hub, aligning them with overall response strategies.
• Develop and maintain partnerships and coordination mechanisms with UN agencies, NGOs and government bodies.
• Monitor programme performance, produce reports and facilitate knowledge management.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks while ensuring accountability and compliance with UNICEF policies.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in social sciences, international relations, public administration, government and public relations, public or social policy, sociology, social or community development, or a related field.
