Insulation Contractor

About the role

Nifty Contractor is seeking an experienced Insulation Contractor to join our fast‑paced home renovation team. You will work directly with project managers to select and install the appropriate insulation for residential projects, ensuring energy efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Review blueprints and collaborate with the project manager to determine the correct insulation type.
• Plan, prepare, and install insulation in walls, ceilings, around pipes, ducts, and HVAC systems.
• Remove old insulation and clean up job sites, adhering to safety standards.
• Estimate labour and material costs when required.
• Supervise or assist other tradespeople as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma and completion of a trade‑school apprenticeship or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
• Several years of hands‑on insulation installation experience.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle access.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and independently.
• Professional reliability and strong client‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Installation and removal of cork, fiberglass, and foam insulation.
• Knowledge of asbestos handling and hazardous‑material cleanup.
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
• Understanding of energy‑efficiency principles and temperature regulation.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes.
