Inventory Clerk

About the role

Wave is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support its rapid growth across Africa. Reporting to the financial controller, you will manage day‑to‑day inventory operations and assist with procurement tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Verify quantity and quality of received items against packing lists and report discrepancies.
• Organise arrivals, ensure safe storage, and track internal stock requests for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate stock levels through regular forecasting and keep inventory above alert thresholds.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, investigate variances and improve stock‑management processes.
• Track order status and delivery timelines with vendors, supporting procurement documentation.
• Assist the finance team with inventory database integrity and perform ad‑hoc procurement duties.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in inventory management, accounting, finance or administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounting or Logistics.
• Basic understanding of procure‑to‑pay processes and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical abilities and clear written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets for tracking, reconciliation and reporting.
