Inventory Management Manager

About the role

The Manager – Inventory Management will lead Mutanda Mining’s end‑to‑end inventory strategy, ensuring material availability, accuracy and cost‑efficient working capital. Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain, the role drives data‑based processes that support continuous operations at the mining site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the inventory management function and supervise the inventory team.
• Develop and maintain inventory planning, forecasting and replenishment processes.
• Implement optimization initiatives to improve working‑capital efficiency.
• Oversee master data governance, material standardisation and Vendor Managed Inventory programmes.
• Manage rotables, repair cycles and exchange‑pool processes.
• Monitor obsolete, excess and slow‑moving stock and drive corrective actions.
• Produce dashboards, KPIs and regular management reports on inventory performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations or supply chain.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or oil & gas is preferred.
• Proven ability to work with ERP systems and data‑driven decision making.
