Investment Specialist – UNCDF (Kinshasa)

About the role

The Investment Specialist will support UNCDF’s blended‑financing platform in Kinshasa, helping to mobilise capital for SDG‑impactful projects and strengthen investment readiness across the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted technical and financial advisory services on development investments.
• Design bespoke financial structuring solutions, including grants, loans and guarantees.
• Undertake financial derisking of investments to attract private‑sector participation.
• Enhance the investment readiness of SDG‑aligned projects.
• Collaborate with public and private partners, UN agencies, development finance institutions and foundations to crowd‑in capital.
• Contribute to UNCDF’s strategic objectives for blended financing and sustainable economic growth.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in development finance, blended financing or investment analysis.
• Understanding of UN development mandates and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
• Proven ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including governments, private investors and multilateral institutions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
