Livelihood Specialist

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Livelihood Specialist to support the National Office’s strategy and technical programming across its portfolio. The role will provide technical leadership, capacity building, and evidence‑based guidance to field staff and partners in delivering livelihood interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the National Office strategy and livelihood technical approaches, guidance and programme design.
• Keep livelihood technical programmes up‑to‑date with research, policy and innovation, and disseminate relevant information to field staff.
• Lead and support field teams in implementing livelihood programmes, troubleshooting issues and developing work plans.
• Provide capacity‑building sessions, technical resources and quality monitoring for all livelihood training events.
• Support research, data interpretation and reporting; contribute to publications, conference abstracts and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to grant proposals with livelihood components and supply ground data to the Grant Acquisition and Management team.
• Assist in quality assurance, report preparation, monitoring, supervision and logframe design for livelihood programmes.
• Provide technical input for policy briefs and scale up Citizen Voice in Action (CVA) activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and managing livelihood programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Experience in capacity development, monitoring & evaluation and evidence‑based reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with partners, donors and internal teams.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate research into practical guidance.
• Familiarity with grant development and policy advocacy processes.
