Livelihood Specialist

About the role

The Livelihood Specialist will support the National Office in designing, implementing and improving livelihood programmes that help vulnerable children and families overcome poverty. Working closely with field staff, partners and donors, the role ensures technical quality, evidence‑based learning and alignment with organisational strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for livelihood strategy, approaches, guidance and programme design.
• Support field teams with implementation, problem‑solving and development of work plans.
• Deliver capacity‑building activities and monitor the quality of training events.
• Assist research, monitoring and evaluation teams in data interpretation, reporting and documentation of best practices.
• Contribute to resource‑mobilisation efforts by supplying ground data for grant proposals.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance with technical standards.
• Provide technical input for policy briefs and advocacy based on programme evidence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing and managing livelihood programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, monitor results and produce evidence‑based reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively with field staff, partners and donors, offering technical guidance and support.
• Familiarity with current livelihood research, policies and innovative approaches.
