Logistics Manager

About the role

Medair is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead logistical support for its emergency programmes in eastern DR Congo. The role provides strategic direction, management and evaluation of the logistics department, ensuring compliance, reporting and accountability while supporting programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for supply chain management across procurement, logistics, fleet, facilities and asset management.
• Support procurement planning, identify optimal supply routes and maintain an up‑to‑date overview of supply needs.
• Ensure logistics activities comply with Medair, donor, national and international regulations and implement anti‑fraud controls.
• Line‑manage the logistics team, fostering a supportive, transparent and inclusive work environment.
• Engage with suppliers, partners, local authorities, NGOs and clusters to coordinate distribution of goods and materials.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in logistics with management experience in emergency or development contexts.
• Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and coaching abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and maintain personal resilience.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
• Supply chain and procurement planning expertise.
• Experience with fleet and asset management.
