Mechanical Foreman – Mining Plant Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Foreman will lead the maintenance artisans responsible for keeping the plant equipment operational at the Kamoa Copper Mine. This senior position ensures high availability of mechanical and electrical assets in a demanding concentrator environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise teams of skilled artisans to execute corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Prioritise maintenance schedules, breakdown repairs and delivery in line with business objectives.
• Monitor and control processes to meet quality, safety, environmental and governance standards.
• Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance and performance.
• Build collaborative relationships across functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Contribute to building a high‑performing, culturally sensitive team.
• Monitor costs against approved budgets and promote cost‑efficiency.
• Integrate HSEQ considerations into all work activities.

Required profile

• Minimum N4 certificate and qualified trade‑tested artisan status.
• At least 8 years experience in mechanical and electrical systems, with 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Completed relevant safety and risk‑assessment training.
• Experience in a concentrator or mining environment is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory; French, Swahili or Mandarin are a plus.
