Movement Support Associate

About the role

The Movement Support Associate assists the Migrant Protection Coordinator in managing travel documentation and support for migrants and refugees. The role involves recording data, securing documents, coordinating with authorities, and preparing travel-ready packages.

Key responsibilities

• Record demographic and biographic information in MiMOSA and confirm receipt to embassies or Resettlement Support Centers.
• Secure and account for travel documents following local SOPs and ensure limited access.
• Process exit permits in coordination with supervisors, colleagues, and relevant authorities.
• Prepare and dispatch travel documents, including travel bags, to field support colleagues.
• Prepare reports on documentation receipt and service delivery, highlighting issues and suggesting corrective actions.
• Assist in regular data mining reports to keep MiMOSA accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Undertake duty travel for meetings, trainings, and programme activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma with 5 years of work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in movement operations, transportation, or resettlement programmes is strongly preferred.
• Experience communicating with beneficiaries and handling sensitive personal data.
• Fluency in English and French (oral and written).

Required skills

• Proficiency in English and French.
• Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience using MiMOSA and iGATOR processing systems.
