Music Executive (A&R) – Full-time Hybrid in Congo

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Music Executive (A&R) to lead music investments, catalogue acquisition, negotiations, and artist/label deals within the Congolese market. This full‑time hybrid position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire music catalogues (front‑ and back‑end rights) aligned with market opportunities.
• Negotiate and structure artist and label agreements.
• Manage music licensing, publishing contracts, rights administration, and catalogue maintenance.
• Oversee portfolio management and ensure successful execution of music projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners while working both onsite and remotely.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the music industry or record label environment.
• Strong network of artists and catalogue owners in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Proven track record in music acquisition, deal negotiation, and portfolio management.
• Experience with music licensing, publishing, contract review, and rights management.
• Comfortable with hybrid work arrangements, demonstrating reliability, autonomy, and collaboration.
• Proficiency in English is highly beneficial.
