National Consultant – ITN Distribution Optimization (DRC)

About the role

The National Consultant will support the Optimization of Insecticide‑Treated Net (ITN) Distribution Channels project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Based in Kinshasa, the consultant will analyse ITN distribution through mass campaigns and routine health services in a province selected by the NMCP.

Key responsibilities

• Validate the analysis methodology, tools and workplan with the NMCP and partners.
• Serve as national focal point and liaison with the Ministry of Health, organising central‑level meetings.
• Adapt and pre‑test project instruments (questionnaires, interview guides) and obtain technical validation.
• Review all documentation on ITN distribution, map processes, partners and steps across planning, budgeting, implementation and reporting.
• Collect and share documents needed for desk reviews and feed them into the project’s landscape tool.
• Conduct semi‑structured interviews, focus groups and observations with stakeholders at all levels.
• Analyse collected data to identify trends, successes, challenges and innovations, and formulate practical recommendations.
• Produce a DRC‑specific toolkit based on adapted tools after pre‑testing in the selected province.

Required profile

• Based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
• Willingness to travel to the province selected by the NMCP for field work.
